This multi-functional estate retreat in North Potomac, MD is a standout example of luxury landscape design that’s both family-focused and architecturally refined. The clients envisioned an outdoor space that could bring people together while offering plenty of room for individual relaxation and seasonal enjoyment.
Rossen Landscape designed and built a complete outdoor living environment featuring a custom gunite pool and spa, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and pavilion, and distinct zones for fireside gathering, sunbathing, and quiet retreat.
Working with complex grading and drainage challenges, our team used natural stone walls and thoughtful elevation changes to create spatial flow and define each area. We also preserved and transplanted mature trees—including an 18-foot fastigiate copper leaf beech and a legacy Trident Maple—to maintain the property’s character and provide natural shade and screening.
From the four-seasons room to the spa terrace and fire pit lounge, the Stonebarn project blends beauty, functionality, and botanical integrity across every inch of the landscape.
